Do-It-Yourself Printable Kits
We are often asked if we can do the printing for "Do-it-yourself" kits. Many brides make the mistake of purchasing these kits from box stores or online, but do not fully factor in how much time it may take to design, setup, print and/or assemble the invitations in these kits. After spending many hours frustrated with these kits, many DIY brides have begged us to finish up the kit project.
However, many of these kits are produced specifically for the home use on an ink jet printer, so unfortunately they are not made to go through our high speed printing equipment. As a general rule, we do not recommend purchasing the DIY kits. In most cases, we can help you pick out an invitation from our exclusive Signature Collection that will suit your needs and fit your budget. In many cases, having us do the entire process for you is much more cost effective then buying the DIY kit.
If you are considering purchasing a print-at-home wedding invitation kit? We've worked with many brides who have tried and failed. Here's what we've heard from brides just like you:
- Cost - a lot of times it seems like these kits are the least expensive way to do your invitations. This is not always the case! If budget is a major concern, we can help. Contact us with your needs and budget, and we can help.
- Time - take in consideration how much time it will take to complete your project on your small inkjet printer. You have a wedding to plan -- how much time do you want to spend watching a printer?
- Unforeseen Costs - not all at home inkjet printers can handle running the specialty stock from these kits. We've heard nightmare stories from brides who have had these kits cause issues with their printer, leading to expensive repairs.
- Tech-savy? Getting the alignment perfect is a woe we hear from a lot of our brides who have used these kits. If you do not consider yourself tech-savy, this might not be the right direction for you.
If you have already bought one of these kits, did you know that many times you can return them? Even after you've opened it and used a few sheets, our brides have reported being able to return their kits for a full or partial refund. Check the refund policy from the store or website you purchased from. Make a personal plea about how much trouble you have experienced. You might be able to get a full or partial refund too.
